For my birthday weekend, I took my first-ever trip to Los Angeles, which was also my first-ever trip via Virgin America. I was impressed by their branding. Their boarding passes looked great. Their plane’s interior looked great. Even the desk stand at the gate look great. But what really stood out for me was their safety video. It was light-hearted, but matter-of-fact, and the illustration work done in the animation was cute. I found the video on YouTube. Enjoy!

A Good Day Today
So today, I actually announced this site on Twitter. I still have some things that need to be done, but I felt it was time to get it out there, especially since I have been secretly blogging here, to get myself in that mode. So why did I pick today? Well, today is my 25th birthday, and I thought it would be good to force my own birthday on this site. I guess technically, it’s not the day it was “born”, but it is the day it was “announced”, so that works for me.
I hope you guys like it. Like I said, I still have some things to do (like putting in the rest of my content, debugging, and adding in some more imagery), but otherwise, I’m pretty satisfied with it. Let me know what you think!
Time Management Notes
I found these old notes from a Time Management session I went to when I was in college. They seemed worth re-posting. I wish I could remember who the lady was that shared these tips with us. 2008 Olympics Opening Ceremony Photos
It’s one of my favorite summer of summers: an Olympic summer. I am hoping that I can find a good place to watch the Olympic Opening Ceremony recording online. These photos are amazing.
Walking on Air
This is the song that’s stuck in my head. It was the iTunes Free Single of the Week, which was how I found out about it. I love her fashion style. The music is a little more pop than I would normally like, but the “creepy” edge that she is going for seems to make it bearable. Anyway, it’s really catchy. I encourage you to view this video full-screen. It’s pretty. Kerli — Walking On Air (Official Video)
Frustration
Today’s hilarious XKCD comic called “Frustration”. Hehe.
Oyule
I love it when old school meets new school. 66 degrees is selling Oyule, an oil lamp that looks like a light bulb. It was designed by Sergio Silva. I highly recommend checking out his other fantastic industrial design projects.
