Starting next month (September), I will begin taking classes toward a Master of Fine Arts at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. This is something I have been wanting to do since I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Memphis College of Art — and I feel that it is right at the best time for me.
I received advice from my Social Ethics/Logic professor at MCA in 2006 (the year I graduated) to wait two years before beginning graduate school. She reasoned that I should be more mature and disciplined, and a lot more serious about what I wanted to do. This advice made sense to me, even back then, before I knew that I would be moving to California to work at Apple. Two years later, I not only discovered a fantastic school that offered the right kind of classes I wanted to take, but I also work at a company that supports furthering work-related education by assisting with financial reimbursement. It couldn’t be more right of a time. I’m very excited about this endeavor, and I look forward what I’ll learn and the projects I’ll create.
The next few years are going to be very, very busy for me… but it will all be worth it!

ARTSPROJEKT is filled with curated, fantastic, gorgeous art products, powered by Zazzle. Very inspiring stuff on this web site.

Some more inspiring art for you guys. I could go broke so easily because of this web site.

I was checking out the new Zazzle redesign, and in the process, I created this shirt. There’s a guy and a girl’s shirt. Buy one? You know you want to! Proceeds go to fund new toys, food, and things for Zalitron her self!
Awesome moments in Olympic history are captured in this YouTube video. This is the kind of thing that I like about YouTube… finding awesome historic video like this.

Wow. This SlimKey stand is not only hot, but looks perfect for what I need. I like to use my desk for things other than just my keyboard — sometimes I need to write or draw… you know… that thing you can do with your hands other than typing? I always have to move my keyboard off to the side or in my lap to do so, but with this thing, I could just tuck it snugly under my monitor. DO WANT.

Whoa, now these are fun. These GUIMagnets are GUI elements that you can use while prototyping on the whiteboard. Very cute.

Crib Candy, “bookmarkable stuff for your home” is a site I found out about through Unplggd. It’s filled with all sorts of neat, modern design (something I am a huge fan of), and is pretty sweet. Check it out.
