Drawn! has interviewed talented Fail Whale illustrator, Yiying Lu. It’s interesting to read the artist’s point of view of the situation. Give it a read.

Le Ballon
Wow. This is a lovely short that answers a question I’ve had ever since I was a very little girl. It’s really, really lovely. Le ballon by ddbparis.
Inside Out Martini Glass
I’m pretty sure this martini glass was designed for people like me in mind. That is, people that tend to get their cocktail drink all over their hands, table, floor, etc… I definitely want these hot Charles & Marie stemless mouth-blown, double-walled martini glasses in my collection.

Walmart’s Eco-friendly Chairs
Wal-mart has attractive eco-friendly chairs? They’re pretty affordable, too. However, it’s not enough to break me of my Wal-mart boycott yet. Still, it’s nice to see a company trying to do good things. I hope they continue down this path.
Journey to the East
Oh this is fantastic! Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett of Gorillaz have created this beautiful trailer for bbc’s coverage of the Beijing Olympics. I am a fan of Jamie Hewlett’s illustrative work (he’s also famous for Tank Girl).
Cardboard Robot

Facebook Redesign

Facebook is sporting its new Redesign, if you opt into it. They’ve widened the pages, and have reorganized the way the profiles are laid out and structured. I haven’t decided yet if I like it. My first reaction was a negative one, but I’m wondering if it was just the change that I was reacting to. I’m going to give it a couple weeks or so to decide.
